JA Waterloo Region understands that teaching is more difficult than ever, which is why our organization provides students with school-board approved programs focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness. JA brings trained business volunteers into your class to deliver a program that connects real life experiences with simulated business exercises, interactive individual and group activities, and digital resources to help to create a solid foundation for program content.

Our program specialized delivery allows students to develop skills and confidence that will be critical to their future success and help them achieve their goals. All of our programs are funded by private and business donations that enable us to deliver JAWR programs in schools completely free of charge.

Mr. Keith, as my students would call him, has been in my classroom for quite a few years now.  Every single time he is, his presence and interactions with the kids remind me of why I enjoy having him in to teach the Junior Achievement programs.  The students are very engaged and interested in everything he has to say, and he makes learning about real world situations fun.  His life experience and stories help the students to connect with him, as well as the Junior Achievement content that he is teaching.  Keith is such a pleasant man and a wonderful volunteer; can't wait to have JA back in my classroom again next year!
